Isaiah 43:19

Behold, I am doing a new thing, now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.

Reflect:

It has been almost two years since the pandemic started, leaving the streets empty and forcing each one to stay at home for safety. But this month of December, the glistening lights, Christmas decorations along the sidewalks light up the streets again.

Christmas is the season of unity and reconciliation. Bringing families and loved ones together. Moreover, the essence of celebrating this new season is not just to fill our houses with the decorations but to spread love, renewed mind, forgiveness, hope to our loved ones and even to our enemies.

Above all, we go back seeking why we celebrate the yuletide season. It is to remember that Jesus was born to redeem us and give eternal love to each one. Jesus is the perfecter of our faith and will always be with us as we go through the different seasons in life. So, we set our eyes and cling to Him in all seasons. We celebrate the gift of life and leave us assured that there is new hope, renewed mindset, and breakthroughs as we claim it in Jesus’ name.

Respond:

As the youth of this generation, we want to live in an environment where there is peace and love. For this to happen, we should start with simple acts of kindness through giving, serving, and showing our appreciation to everyone. Most importantly, we must make these our lifestyles and always set God as the center of our lives.
