5 "You hem me in, behind and before, and lay your hand upon me."

Reflect:

This coming Christmas is the second time that we are in a pandemic but the Lord is still exceptionally faithful in protecting us until now. God’s hands will continue to be with us and He ensures that we will always be able to reach them. He keeps a close eye on us from every angle. He is always there watching over us, everywhere we may be. We may feel powerless at times, but the Lord will sustain and strengthen us. The Lord has guaranteed that our salvation comes from Him.  So, in our faith, we know that in the two years we’ve been fighting this pandemic, He’s been there, ready to help us with His hands. We must continuously keep in mind that we are surrounded by the presence of the Lord and we are to follow what He wants us to do. God isn’t only leading us, but walking with us in our journey. We don’t have to question the next chapter of our lives because from the beginning He has promised that He will hold and direct it.

This Christmas, we are once more in the middle of a pandemic and a few of us will not be able to be with our other loved ones. Many have been misplaced because of the circumstances we have. Others have closed doors in front of them. But don’t be disheartened because the Lord is with us! We are not alone! The Lord knows everything you are feeling. He is in control. God cherishes us so much that He surrounds us with His care. This is an awesome puzzle that researchers have attempted to clarify for centuries, but the Psalmist reminds us that there are times when we have to set aside our investigation and essentially wonder at God’s work in our lives. May we be captivated by God’s brilliant cherish and care for us.

Respond:

We, as His children, should always be walking with Him, so that we are at the right place at the right time. If the Lord always catches us with His hands, let us not forget that our hands are also for Him when we accomplish what He asks us to do here on earth. Always be still and know who God is.
