1 Peter 2:9
9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellences of Him who has called you of darkness into His marvelous light.Reflect:
Peter wrote this when people were stumbling upon their own words, getting lost, and losing their identity. People were slaves of their own minds.
Nowadays, there are a lot of people who also suffer from the same situation. People become slaves of wrong identities and mindsets that often lead to anxiety and depression.
Peter reminds us through the Holy Spirit that we are God’s possession. We are His children. This is so that we may understand our great value and wholly give our trust to Him. Peter is telling this truth to us so that we will stop doubting ourselves. God gave us gifts of our own; we are wonderfully and fearfully made. We are unique in our own way.
So every time you feel that you are not enough or you are drowned in negative thoughts, just always run to Him and hold on to His promises to you.
